it has been a little while since i lasted scrawled on the www. mostly because my time has been taken up reading graham ward's theology and contemporary critical theory and rediscovering a passion for lapsang souchong tea. sadly this book is no longer in print (2nd ed. 2000). it is an incredibly accessible introduction to critical theory and its accompanying theological implications. ward investigates the work of paul ricoeur, jean-francois lyotard, judith butler, julia kristeva, michel de certeau, michel foucault, jacques derrida, emmanuel levinas, and helene cixous, to name but a few... exploring the relationship between theology and representation, history, ethics and aesthetics. a wee spark of a book.
theology and wotnot aside, this little animation is just lovely.
happy st patrick's day...
